Dr. Anne Boudreaux, MD

Dr. Anne Boudreaux is a board-certified pediatrician and co-founder of Preferred Pediatrics, where she has been caring for children and families in the Bayou Region for more than 30 years. She opened the practice in 2002 alongside Dr. Anne-Marie Ardoin with one idea in mind: pediatric care should feel personal and unhurried, and every family should leave a visit feeling heard.

Dr. Boudreaux is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport and completed her pediatric training through LSU. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is affiliated with Thibodaux Regional Health System.

Families come back to Dr. Boudreaux year after year for the same reasons: she listens, she explains things in plain language and she involves children in their own care from the very first visit. Parents who research their decisions especially appreciate that she takes time to walk through the science behind every recommendation rather than rushing to the next room.

After more than three decades in Thibodaux, Dr. Boudreaux now cares for the children of patients she saw as kids. That is the practice she set out to build, and it is the kind of practice she still runs every day.

She practices pediatrics alongside her husband, Chester, a physician with Regional Internal Medicine Associates. Their practices are located side by side in Acadia Clinic on Rue Marguerite, allowing them to serve families and the community together. At home, they enjoy life with their four children.
